Where To Find Spring Break Deals

The window for many deals has is narrow, warns Ellen Noyes, a travel agent at Acendas Travel. “Huatulco is a new destination in Mexico that’s very reasonably priced,” she says, but the spring break weeks of early March “booked fast.” She told CBS Minnesota, “I don’t think the fire sales we used to see of $99 airfare are going to be around. That concept of waiting until the last minute, unless you are really, really flexible, you’re not going to see that because the airlines are filling their aircraft day in and day out.”

Yet, it’s not too late to score a few Spring Break deals at Get-A-Room.com. Try one of these:

Aruba

The Boston Herald recommends looking to Aruba for great Spring Break deals this year. This time of year, the days are sunny with temperatures around 80. It’s a stylish location with a number of repeat guests each year who call Aruba their “paradise.” There are 13 airports offering direct flights to Aruba, starting as low as $292. Spring Break savings can be up to 40 percent and are available until the high-traffic season month of June. You can expect 4-star or higher accommodations for around $199/night. Best of all, Carnival runs through mid-February, so the parties are extra wild and fun!

Cruise Departing Miami

Marketwatch recommends cruising out of Miami for a comfortable extended vacation. Residence Inn Miami Airport hotel is offering special rates of $154 - $254 a night, which includes a full breakfast buffet for two and round-trip transportation to the Port of Miami through April 1st. The hotel is located near the Miami Seaquarium, the Miami Metro Zoo, and Miami’s Art Deco district. Spring Breakers can mingle at the hotel’s complementary cocktail hour in the lounge.

Chicago

Missouri State University student Jamelia Shealey decided to stick closer to home for Spring Break this year. Instead of heading south like most of her peers, she organized a trip with her mother and closest friend to a big city she’s never been to: Chicago. “I plan on touring the city, taking in the sites, eating some deep-dish pizza and shopping,” Shealey told The StandardHere there is less competition for hotels and many options to travel on a low budget. Cheap bus tickets can be found at Megabus.com or via Amtrak Train. Magnificent Mile shopping is a world-class destination, and there are plenty of options for evening entertainment along Wells Street, Rush Street, or in the Old Town district.

Panama City

Students who have a little more cash to spare can live large in Panama City, arguably the nation’s top destination for Spring Break deals. “Spring Break is an important economic driver for Panama City Beach; it generates a lot of visitor spending during the month of March,” said Dan Rowe, head of The Bay County Tourist Development Council. The best resource for people considering Panama City partying is their official Spring Break website: http://pcbeachspringbreak.com. Yet, Spring Breakers would be wise to return to www.Get-A-Room.com for the best prices on hotels, airfare and Spring Break packages.
